Gregg will hold a drawing, one attendee will win a boxed set of 20 autographed 8 x 10 prints of 20 of his vintage R&B and Rock & Roll stage and candid images. Each attendee will get their choice of one autographed print.

Hollywood/Beverly Hills celebrity,  music industry, fashion photographer  Gregg Cobarr has a quarter century of professional photography experience in the music, film and fashion industry. Seattle raised he picked up his first camera at the age of 4. It was at 13 after his grandmother gave him a  Hawkeye Flash  Brownie that it became his obsession. As a teen he began shooting bands in Seattle before moving to Hollywood, which lead him down the road to becoming a notable celebrity photographer.

Recently his unreleases images circa 1978 have been in the recent spot light.  The shoot commissioned by Epic Records whe they first transitioned from Indiana and Motown to Los Angeles. The candid images show a  glimpse of Michael Jackson and his family shortly arriving in California .

Gregg’s work has been published both nationally and internationally in addition to numerous awards for his photography and was recently featured on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Some of the artists Gregg has photographed over the years include: Aerosmith, Heart, Ringo Starr, Bob Marley, Santana, Dolly Parton, Journey, Willie Nelson, Talking Heads, Meatloaf, Charlie Daniels Band, Kenny Loggins, Rolling Stones, Judas Priest, Elvis Costello, Blue Oyster Cult, Electric Light Orchestra, Jefferson Airplane, Derringer, Cheap Trick, Muddy Waters, and many others.

He holds a Bachelors Degree from BROOKS INSTITUTE OF PHOTOGRAPHY and a Master of Fine Arts Degree from CALIFORNIA INSTITUTE OF ARTS. Gregg teaches master photographer classes for Nikon. His work is in the permanent collection of the LOS ANGELES COUNTY MUSEUM OF ART,  teaches a MUSIC INDUSTRY PHOTOGRAPHY 101  for the GRAMMY MUSEUM, is involved with  MUSIC CARES,  FENDER MUSIC FOUNDATION and  others such as the HEART FOUNDATION. He is an industry judge for the BLACK MOUNTAIN PRODUCTIONS INDY MUSIC FESTIVAL  and SASHES & CROWNS.

The last few years he has traveled and taught in Russia representing Nikon at trade shows, convetions and shooting for the Russian GRAMMY Awards.

Greg returns to Seattle for a first of it's kind, hands on all day workshop  in conjunction with the talents of Seattle Photography Associates and West Washington Performing Art & Model Exchange. The workshop will blend his many disciplines of shooting for the music industry in a themed FASHION WORKSHOP. The workshop will center around shooting professionally in the music industry and developing your intuitive process.


Gregg is a recent addition to the SPA Studio industry mentors and professional advisers.
